The goal for this project was to create a responsive website for a social issue specific to a community. I chose to design a website addressing food insecurity in the Cincinnati neighborhood of Walnut Hills. Research was a very big step in this process, as my website needed to accurately inform its viewers about this delicate issue while also providing genuine resources to combat the problem. Once I had all the information I needed, I sketched wireframes of the website pages focusing on organizing information and interactive elements. Moving digitally, I explored a few stylistic options for the website and chose an approachable yet serious tone to discuss the issue. By defining a few personas that this site would apply to, I found this style most accurately represented the diverse ages and levels of comfort with technology its viewers would have. With my plan set and style identified, I gradually developed the desktop website. I then created tablet and mobile versions of the site, making adjustments to text and layout to maintain legibility and flow, while keeping consistency with the desktop version of the site.
